New Friends, New Stories

I Just moved here three months ago, and I honestly thought finding friends would be so hard since I didn't have any before moving. I knew my sister and her friends included me, which was great, but I really wanted to make some friends of my own-a group of girls I could hangout with, grab drinks with, and just have fun with.

Then one night, someone in this woman social group texted asking if anyone wanted to grab drinks at a cocktail bar. Normally I might have talked myself out of going, but I decided to go for it. I didn't know a single person walking in, but everyone was so easy to talk to and welcoming.

We ended up chatting, sharing funny stories, and laughing over drinks. It felt effortless, like we'd all known each other longer than just a few minuets. By the end of the night, I thought yes, these are my people.

After that, we kept hanging out-texting , grabbing drinks, doing little outing together. It wasn't instant, and there wasn't a dramatic moment, but slowly it turned into real friendship. Having this group of girls around now makes this city feel like home, and I am so glad I decided to say yes that night-it led to exactly what I was hoping for: friends of my own who make life fun, easy, and full of laughs.
